The Problem

Modern teams juggle dozens of tools, APIs, and services. Task management and team communication are fragmented across Slack, Jira, Notion, and email —creating context-switching overhead that kills productivity.

The Solution

Orchestra is a unified B2B SaaS platform for task management and team communications. A single workspace where teams plan, communicate, and execute —without switching between five different apps.

Key Technical Decisions

  • Single codebase, 5 platforms —Vue.js + Nuxt for web, Capacitor for iOS/Android, Electron for macOS/Windows. One team maintaining one codebase instead of five.
  • TypeScript end-to-end for type safety across the entire stack
  • Portable codebase designed for both native and server-side computing
  • AI core integrated directly into the product: multiple LLM providers, autonomous agents, meeting transcription with summarization. MCP server enabling users to interact with the app directly on their device through agents.
  • Video conferencing system for calls within the platform
  • Full-featured messenger, documents, projects, channels, bots, and everything teams need to work together
  • Cross-cutting search across all documents and artifacts

The Delivery System

Being a CTO at Orchestra is not about code. It is about a product-driven approach and customer-oriented delivery. Together with the team and other co-founders, I built the product from scratch. I assembled the architecture and stack that allowed a team of 6 to compete and ship features against companies 10x larger.

  • Code standards and automated quality checks
  • Transparent processes

Results

  • Product of the Day, Week, and Month on Product Hunt in the Productivity category —a rare triple recognition
  • Accelerated in LAUNCH by Jason Calacanis
  • 5 platforms running from a single codebase: Web, iOS, Android, macOS, Windows
  • 300K+ lines of clean code in production, maintained by a small team
  • 100+ production releases with stable, predictable delivery
  • AI assistants processing real conversations and tasks with LLM providers
  • Ideal environment for agents and assistants for handling internal processes —from real conversations and tasks to small routine operations like reminders and information retrieval

Lessons Learned

The main lesson from Orchestra: it is not about writing the most code. It is about building a reliable and maintainable system —the processes, standards, and discipline that let a small team ship world-class software consistently. That is what allowed us to earn recognition with a small team.
